Remploy have introduced the ‘Experts by Experience program.
The programme supports the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections by ensuring people who have lived experience of health and social care services or those who are family carers, accompany inspectors and provide valuable insight into using such services and thereby ensuring the user’s voice is heard.
Members of the branch could make good candidates of the program. The role can be paid or voluntary, to suit individuals circumstances, does not have any specific academic requirements (assistance and adjustments can be accommodated), and you will gain valuable experience working with the CQC, building skills and confidence. Experts will be trained and supported at every stage. They will be undertaking really important and valuable work, helping to recognise good practice, and drive improvements in the health and social care sector.
Other than inspections, CQC also engage experts in engagement events to enable them to consult and drive forward change is all regulated health and social care services.
